Who We Are
Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) offers a comprehensive range of programs and services which support people of all ages and beliefs. With locations in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, JFS programs and services include food & financial assistance, senior services, behavioral health services, family & children's services. Our mission is to support anyone in South Palm Beach County who needs help, regardless of age or background. Our comprehensive programs strengthen, protect, and empower, with care and compassion. Our vision is to strive for a future where our entire community is accepted, strengthened, cared for, and safe. Funding is provided by individuals, corporations, grants, special events and donors who support our mission and bring hope to thousands in need.
What We Do
The JFS Community Mentoring Program makes a difference in the lives of youth by matching caring adults with those between the ages of 6-17 who would benefit from a positive adult role model. Spending a minimum of four hours together a month, mentors offer encouragement, guidance, and stability that helps a child build confidence and thrive.
Program participants commit to one year, and the mentees/youth live within Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Highland Beach.
Additionally, all mentors are provided ongoing mentor training.
