JFS Senior Services: Friendly Visitor Program

Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) offers a comprehensive range of programs and services which support people of all ages and beliefs. With locations in Boca Raton and Delray Beach,  JFS programs and services include food & financial assistance, senior services, behavioral health services, family & children's services.  Our mission is to support anyone in South Palm Beach County who needs help, regardless of age or background. Our comprehensive programs strengthen, protect, and empower, with care and compassion. Our vision is to strive for a future where our entire community is accepted, strengthened, cared for, and safe.  Funding is provided by individuals, corporations, grants, special events and donors who support our mission and bring hope to thousands in need.

Volunteers visit an isolated senior in their home or assisted living facility.  This is a flexible volunteer opportunity in which the volunteer will schedule dates and times to visit directly with the client.  The minimum expectation is a weekly visit for about one hour.
