JFS is in need of a volunteer that could come into our office from 9am to 12pm one day a week (Monday-Thursday available).  The volunteer would make calls to our food pantry clients, assist them in completing a brief application, and provide instructions on where to send required documents.  The volunteer will also be asked to make brief notes regarding each call they make. JFS is looking for volunteers who can commit to delivering frozen kosher meals every Friday morning to addresses in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Highland Beach through the Meals On Wheels program.  The volunteer would arrive on the Federation Campus, Specifically to the JARC building, Friday mornings between 7:30AM- 8:15am to pick up the meals.   Deliveries usually take 4 hours.

Volunteers must be able to lift heavy bags into and out of carts as well as pushing the carts through the hallways. Volunteers should feel comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs at a time and pushing heavy carts.
