Join the Rales JFS team and assist our Accounting Department with important behind-the-scenes work that keeps our operations running smoothly. Volunteers will help with filing, organizing paperwork, and supporting basic administrative tasks within the department.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in an office environment. No formal accounting experience is required—just a willingness to help and maintain confidentiality.

Serve our delicious Thanksgiving meal items (turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and more) onto plates for servers to bring to the seated guests.  Must be over 16 years of age to participate in this opportunity.

Volunteers are expected to arrive on campus by 9:30AM and stay until 1:30PM.

On Thanksgiving Morning all volunteers are required to meet at Zinman Hall on the DKA at 9:30AM.

Rales JFS is looking for volunteers (15+) to sign up as Table Servers.

Table Servers help pour drinks, serve meals from the serving stations, help pack up meals in to-go containers at the end of the meal.

Volunteers are expected to arrive on campus by 9:30AM and stay until 1:30PM.

Rales JFS is looking for volunteers (14+) to sign up as Banquet Helpers.

Banquet Helpers are asked to be flexible and may serve as greeters, servers, or room assistants—stepping in wherever needed to ensure everything is running smoothly! Banquet Helpers will have a volunteer lead to guide them throughout the event.

Rales JFS is looking for volunteers to sign up as Greeters.

Greeters initiate the Thanksgiving Meal of 2025. Greeters will be assigned to help the seniors get off the bus. Greeters will accompany the seniors into the dining room, making sure they are seated safely and that their walkers/wheelchairs are properly stored. 

After the meal starts all Greeters will return to Zinman Hall for a additional volunteer activity until the seniors are ready to get back on the bus.

Volunteers are expected to arrive on campus by 9:30AM and stay until 1:30PM.

The JFS Community Mentoring Program serves children from 6-18 years of age that live in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Highland Beach. Our adult volunteer mentors are matched with a child who is in need of a role model and friend and would benefit from a long term, stable relationship from
a non-parental adult. Our mentors and mentees meet regularly for a minimum of four hours per month and commit to a minimum of one year.

Mentors contribute rich personal histories, a broad range of personal experiences, and a genuine desire to make a difference in a child’s life....encouraging them along their journey to becoming confident, productive adults.

All volunteers who respond to this opportunity will be contacted by Lisa Cauff, Community Mentoring Coordinator at JFS, for next steps and further details.

Join the Fun! Do you have a passion for playing Canasta? The next generation of players are ready to learn the game! The Weisman Center is looking for a Canasta Teacher for Beginners to facilitate their Friday morning class.

JFS is seeking volunteers who can assist our staff as they provide therapy services to children with varying needs and abilities on our campus.  Responsibilities include front desk responsibilities and walking students to and from their classrooms on campus to their appointments at the Cooperman Center.  This is a regular volunteer opportunity, which requires a weekly commitment. Must enjoy being around children, be flexible enough to take on various administrative tasks that come up, and commit to a regular weekday afternoon or morning shift. 

Volunteers “visit” an isolated senior in their home or assisted living facility for at least four hours a month for socialization and conversation. Volunteers and their clients determine the schedule and frequency of the visits.

Teach a class, help with special events, assist in programs, or the front desk reception area.  We welcome volunteers of all skills and abilities to help us enhance the experience of our members at this beautiful senior center where seniors stay active and enjoy time together. 

Also available:  Assisting in preparations for our Diamond Club weekly social gathering.   Feldman Family Diamond Adventure Clubs:  Volunteers meet every Tuesday morning at the Weisman Center in Delray Beach.  This is a social group where volunteers assist by checking in guests, leading discussions on current events, setting up, and serving coffee and snacks.  Volunteers also assist with outside group bus excursions.  

We have an available opportunity to make weekly phone calls to a senior who is feeling lonely.  Through the Telephone Reassurance program, the volunteer will be matched with a client who they will call 2-3 times per week.  These calls are meant as a friendly check in.

This is a flexible volunteer opportunity in which the volunteer and client will set the schedule for calls directly with each other.  The volunteer will be provided a script to start and a link to log their weekly calls.  

This opportunity requires a regular on-going commitment from the volunteer.  Responsibilities are as follows:  Volunteers arrive at a location near century village (parking lot of 19785 Hampton Drive, Boca Raton) between 8:30am and 9:00am, to meet our food pantry truck. Volunteers are provided with a list of JFS clients and their addresses, mostly in century village, along with a bin full of pre-bagged food packages to deliver to the client’s door.  Volunteers must be able to carry one bag of non-perishable items, one bag of produce, and one container of milk and paper towels.  Volunteers drive their own car and it usually takes about 1-2 hours maximum to complete these deliveries.
