Volunteer: Deliver Kosher Meals to Homebound Clients, Meals on Wheels

JFS is looking for volunteers who can commit to delivering frozen kosher meals every Friday morning to addresses in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Highland Beach through the Meals On Wheels program.  The volunteer would arrive on the Federation Campus, Specifically to the JARC building, Friday mornings between 7:30AM- 8:15am to pick up the meals.   Deliveries usually take 4 hours.

This opportunity requires a regular on-going commitment from the volunteer.  Responsibilities are as follows:  Volunteers arrive at a location near century village (parking lot of 19785 Hampton Drive, Boca Raton) between 8:30am and 9:00am, to meet our food pantry truck. Volunteers are provided with a list of JFS clients and their addresses, mostly in century village, along with a bin full of pre-bagged food packages to deliver to the client’s door.  Volunteers must be able to carry one bag of non-perishable items, one bag of produce, and one container of milk and paper towels.  Volunteers drive their own car and it usually takes about 1-2 hours maximum to complete these deliveries.
